Here is my info, links are like us, they die. If any of these
links are dead or are no longer freeware, at least you have the
name of the program which you put into a search engine like
Google & maybe you can let me know the latest info.
I am not recommending anything, my list gives you a starting
point to find something to suit your operating system ( most
people do not even mention it ) & skill level. What will work on
my computer, may not be happy on yours. What I can understand,
re how to install & run, may not apply to you.
That's a tremendous list. I would add my favorite which is WinKey
from Copernic.

Unlike many hotkey utils, Winkey uses the windows key and this has a
far better success rate for launching apps when the machine is
playing up.
I believe the windows key bypasses the Explorer shell when it calls
the target program and so temporary problems with explorer (go slows,
freezes, etc) do not affect calls to programs defined in WinKey.
Some hotkey utils also assign functions to the Windows key too but
they usually also offer combinations of CTRL ALT & SHIFT for hotkeys.
These are fine but theyare not quite as fast to respond as programs
assigned to the Windows key.
If you are a CTRL ALT & SHIFT hotkey users then I find PC Mag's
Hotkey Detective 2 to be extremely useful.
It's currently available from

OTOH I find that the similar ShortCutKeys did not work properly.
