Freeware for gantt charts?

For my work (very small NGO) I need some free software that allows me to
create simple (they only need be simple!) Gantt charts for basic project
management - little more than time lines really. I've tried mocking
things up in Excel and Word but it simply doesn't work properly.

So I tried searching the net but there is masses of Gantt freeware, it
all looks really complicated and I have no idea how to choose.

Any suggestions for simple Gantt freeware that will meet my needs? Would
be very grateful for useful pointer from anyone's greater experience...

Seconded-I've used Open Workbench a couple of months back, and found it
to be an excellent free project management app.
