Freeware CD burner?

My new computer has a CD burner that my faithful old Adaptec Easy CD
Creator won't recognize - and it can no longer be ungraded since Roxio now
owns the series.

Is there a decent freeware alternative that will reconize a fairly new
drive? It's a Samsung TS-H492A.

I use $ware to burn data and DVD backups but for music CD burning nothing
comes close to Burrrn. (freeware)
