Hello!

I'm looking for a free NFS (Network File System, as used by UNIX) client for
Windows XP clients.

Any suggestions?

Windows Services for UNIX has a Client for NFS, I believe:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/sfu/default.mspx

The latest version, 3.5, is free, but the download requires than you
sign up for their "passport". It's a very large download; you can also
get it on CD for the price of shipping.

Check the system requirements first, though.

Well, googling around a bit shows that there are not very much software
packages to do this. Reason: Samba does a much better job at sharing drives
in Win-Linux networks than NFS, with little extra overhead.

You might want to have a look at that first...

Anyway, the only free program I've found that can deal with NFS is this:

JFtp:
http://j-ftp.sourceforge.net/

It's because sometimes we are in a UNIX-only network, use NFS, then need to
put a Windows client.

Will try. Thanks.
