free graphic editor?

Hello:

Microsoft photoeditor being no more included with office, is there any
equivalent free software with similar peformances, that start up in a
fraction of second, selecting (rectangular area) possible (for copy/paste),
and supporting multi-pages tif (not available with photoed.exe), without
being huge in size ??

any help is appreciated.

Try the picture & fax viewer; it's part of XP Pro at least, assume same for
Home. It also animates gifs, etc.; much handier. Small & still comes up
quickly.
