Free/Busy Problem.

I am using the method of uploading Free/Busy info via FTP to an internet
address. It works fine BUT if you close Outlook and re-open it, the passord
is not reatined to FTP the .vfb file to it's location!!

I found a KB article that admits that this is a recognized problem and that
the passord is cached for as long as Outlook is open, but there is NO fix for
it.

Does anyone have an idea for a work-around so that my other two business
associates do not have to retype the passord for Free/Busy EVERY TIME they
want to use it?

My first thought was to find an FTP site that allows anonymous uploading, so
no passrod is needed, however I cannot find such a thing.

Is there a script that could be written to place the password in that field?

Thanks everyone!

By the way,

The article that applies is Article ID : 307034 and the solution is to
intall SP3 for Outlook. But that did not fix the problem. Why would they say
this when it does not fix the problem? (I'm just frustrated).

I forgot to mention that I HAVE tried that. If anyone has seen
ftp://ID:pwd@ftp_site work, please let me know. I have tried this in the
Calendar options/Free-Busy/Publish field *AND* in the File/Open/Outlook Data
File/Add-Modify window too. And I've tried it with many combinations.

I'm wondering if there's a way to make a macro to put the password in each
time outlook is started?

I've checked the knowledgebase articles and it says that the latest service
pack should fix it but it does not.
