Free Anti-Virus for Windows Vista x64

Search the ng on "Anti-virus." There are a lot of threads. Most comment on
Avatst.

I did check the newsgroup (and got confusing reports) and I did visit Avast!
Supposedly Avast works on "Vista" .. but then someone said the security
group reported that it doesn't actively monitor on x64 ?? And when I visited
the Avast! homepage I didn't see any reference to x64 Vista

So I thought I'd start a thread.
 
McAfee has a free Vista beta AV program. Good for one year.

I did a search for this on the Mcafee web site, and came up empty. Do you
have a URL for the McAfee Vista beta. Also, is it only for x64?

x64? Dunno,

But Free AVG does work, sorta, in x86.
You just have to launch it off the deskstop icon again after a restart.
Mostly.
