Framework question--last one

I followed an article to reinstall framework 1.1 and 2.0, which said to
uninstall all framework entries from add/remove programs delete the framework
folder and registry entries and then reinstall. I did not remove the hotfix
for framework 1.0 since I have media center 2005 this is installed with OS.
I do have recovery partition on hard drive.

Was I suppose to remove all the entries? Will framework 1.0 reinstall from
the harddrive? I really need to get this installed correctly.

Which version of the framework is it you need to get working? 1.0, 1.1 and
2.0 are all independent of each other. If you are having problems with 2.0,
there is no need to uninstall or modify 1.0 or 1.1. So you can leave 1.0
alone and reinstall 1.1 (with SP's) and/or 2.0, again depending on what
version(s) you need for your applications.
