FP2000 error after installing critical updates

CCR

I just installed the "critical updates" for XP, and now
crash FP every time I try to open one of my FrontPage webs.

I get an error after submitting my password and
clicking "Open" after being given a listing of the web's
folders. It churns the hard drive for quite a while then
pops an error message that the system was out of memeory
after trying to allocate 0 bytes.

I can open the same web on other systems with no problems-
ME and FP 2000 and Win95 and FP2000. But EVERY time I try
with XP and FP2000, FP crashes with the same error message.

Any ideas other than restoring the system to prior to the
install of the patches? One of the patches advised it
could not be removed...

Have you tried the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP

| But I still stall out on the one site- every time.
