I'm making my web on my localhost and then publish to live host. I wonder if
I can install FP Server Extensions on my PC so that I could also test
sending forms before going live. Your advices would be appreciated.

If you are access your local web via http://localhost in FP, then you
already have the extensions installed. However to test email, you also have
to have SMTP server installed, and most ISP will block the ability to send
email when you are not actually logged into your account via your email
reader to send email.

Windows XP Pro. Yes, my local web is via http://localhost in FP. But my
browser warns me with black letters as [FrontPage Save Results Component] in
the page where a form exits in localhost web. I cannot post the form and get
this message :

"Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions' Smart HTML interpreter on this
non-HTML page: http://localhost/altinokpipe/feedback.htm"

Any advice? Can I get rid of this?

Have you applied the extensions to the web using the Internet Server Services?
