FP images, Importing, absolute paths and Thumbnailing

Angela

Thanks for all the help earlier. Site is now saving properly clearing
temp folders solved that BUT....

Designing website using FP 03 and it was working great and today it
stopped asking to save/embed images on one site I am working on. The
rest webs I do are doing fine with handling this feature.

I have tried to import the file and it works but no image shows up till
site is published.... doing it this way.... I still can't auto
thumbnail the image.

I have even uploaded the picture and used absolute paths and image still
won't show up in FP or allow thumbnailing.
Also repaired FP.

Please help.
Thanks!

The page is taking far to long to load for me to see the problem ... sorry!
ETC
In general, import all your images into your site before using them. You
will get the save/embed message if you don't.

Thanks to all who have tried to help out.
I cleaned up all the errors that was pointed out to me, recalculated,
repaired, imported properly, opened web prior to working on site
etc....BUT...........

HERE'S MORE INFO:
Realized I can use a .gif and get it to thumbnail and show up here on
the computer as well as the web.... but NOT .jpg.
Won't thumbnail here and .JPG image won't show up on the computer here
but will show up on the web.
Tried .jpg as well as .JPG
This only applies to one site out of 3 that I am webmaster of... using
the same Frontpage 2003 on them all.
Help. :)

Thanks!
God Bless you,
~Angela

1. On http://www.angelarose.com/ the images all point back to your local machine, usually the result
of working on your pages without having a web open or not having imported the images into the web
first.

2. You should be able to use either .gif or .jpg or .GIF or .JPG file extensions, however if the
site is hosted on a Unix/Linux server, then you must make sure that the case of the filename in the
link, matches the actual case of the physical filename.

Not quite, you still have fix the image that appears under each of the headings on the home page.
