Can any of you who have upgraded from FP 2002 to FP 2003 give us an insight
into These Issues;
1) What it took for you to install and start using fp 2003? Was this an easy
upgrade or were there moments of anxiety or frustration
2) if you like FP 2003 les than 2002, about the same, a little more, or lots
more?
3) Can you comment on the easy of coding of layers
4) Does FP2003 make it easy to go "tableless" to control layout thrtought
the use of layers and CSS in your opinion?
5) Was there any loss of web features during the transistion to FP 2003 for
you?

Thanks! Inquiring Minds Want To Know!

No problems, kept FP2002 installed

2) if you like FP 2003 les than 2002, about the same, a little more, or lots

I think FP2003 is a improvement over FP2002.

However for my development work, I continue to use FP2000, as I don't need
any of the newer features provided in either FP2002 or FP2003.
3) Can you comment on the easy of coding of layers
Don't use layers.
4) Does FP2003 make it easy to go "tableless" to control layout thrtought

Don't use layers or CSS for layout, I can do everything I need with tables,
and not be concern with cross browser issues that you will have using layers
and CSS for layout.
5) Was there any loss of web features during the transistion to FP 2003 for

Between FP2002 and FP2003 the only loss in functionality (that I was
concerned with, with the FP Include Page component, not supporting the use
of a .asp as a included.

Installed as part of PC rebuild - reformatted to remove Office2003 Beta,
installed everything afresh. Absolutely no problems.
2) if you like FP 2003 les than 2002, about the same, a little more, or lots

Lots, Lots more

Difficult to make it any easier. - but be wary of coding in shared borders
or include pages, use Dynamic Web Templates instead.

This would be easy, if weren't for those D*!*mn browsers that don't support
absolute positioning.

No - and a lot added.

re no. 5 (can't include an asp) -yes but an asp in a inline frame works fine
for me.
