I read the reply and also the link about the other post on publishing to
localhost. I really didn't find an answer that I could understand at the
link.

I just want to know what I have to do to be able to publish to localhost
with FP2002 on XP-Professional.

When I installed 2002 on ME, it was new and Microsoft told me in one
sentence what to do. For those that want to know how to publish to
localhost with ME Microsoft told me in an email
"Check to make sure that you do not have FrontPage Server Extensions 2002
installed in add/remove programs in control panel.
- Install FrontPage server extensions 2000 at:
-

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnservext/html/Winfpse.asp
"

Please can I have a direct answer like the above for XP professional. If I
call Microsoft I will have to pay because the warrantee is past on my FP.

Thanks to anyone that will help.

Same advice, but download the extensions from:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dnservext/html/fpse02win.asp

Thanks. I presume that XP professional comes with a web server, right? I
heard somewhere that it did. I used the personal web server that came with
FP98 before.

Yes, Windows XP Pro comes with IIS, which needs to be installed under
Add/Remove Windows components

Thank You. There is just enough differences between XP and ME to really
keep me on my toes. So far I do like XP even though I get confused.
