FP 2002 Photo Gallery Distorts Images

I have created a photo gallery with a mix of portrait and
landscape images, constrained the largest dimension to
640 pixels and created a horizontal slide show format.
The portrait images are compressed into the same Internet
Explorer window as the landscape images, distorting them
in the vertical dimension. How do I create a photo
gallery that retains the dimensional integrity of the
images?

what you'll have to do is;
photo gallery properties dialog box has a check box for "maintain aspect
ratio" (make sure that's checked). there's a "set as default size" also
(make sure that's unchecked).

there's a tip I wrote about "refresh grainy thumbnails" that if you follow
it will get rid of the bad thumbnails you've generated:
