FP 2002 hyperlink length maximum too short

The count of this link according to Word is 360 characters. It doesn't appear that Front Page hyperlink box will accept anywhere near that number

Isn't this a showstopper? Should this be submitted as a bug in FP2002? How are users designing links supposed to handle the long links which seem to be evolving with the increasing sophistication of the internet

I guess my only workaround is to switch to html mode & paste it in there. It's very awkward (assuming it will even work there

It looks like Word also does not allow a copy/paste/cut. If it's by design, I'm not sure what the purpose is in not allowing for it, as it's much more convenient than using clt/V

The maximum limit for a hyperlink is 256 characters.
For the same reason the maximum length for a file path is 256 characters for
a file.

Recent ebay changes are generating URL's of extremely long length. I find
that when I try to paste in the link below, FP 2002 is truncating the link.
Is this a limit? Is there a workaround? The AOL/Optimum browsers will take
this long link, but another browser in Auction Tamer also truncates.
