FP 2000 Tables

in FP2000 why cant I delete the middle row cleanly? It
moves lower cells around and leaves gaps in the table

Are you talking about the empty green divider row?
Put cursor in cell, select Table/Select Row, then Table/Delete Cells.

Worked for me without messing up the rest of your table.
