FP 03 - real.htm; link to larger picture; errors

Hi Everyone! Well, my web page is working .. kind of. I created this back
in 2004 and let it go. Now, I'd like to update it.
1. I was a able to add pictures to the "Ranchero" link, but the 'enlarged
picture' doesn't show like it does for my other links (grandkids/vacations).
Any ideas on why?
2. What are those files I see called real.htm;real_p.htm; real_x.htm?
3. Do I need copies of the pictures in the "photogallery" file as well as on
the root directory? I looked at the report on my page and got gazillions of
errors!

Site is at http://home.comcast.net/~galarowicz/index.html

Thanks so much for helping!!! Ellen

Delete that gallery and the photos in FP, then rename all the photos that
you want to be in the gallery and do not use uppercase or spaces in the file
names. RE-Import the images into your FP web and re-do the gallery with the
newly named images.

Spaces (which will appear in folder and file names as %20) will break
links...you can use a dash or underscore instead of spaces.

Hi Rob,

Thanks - I will try that. Do you know what those darn "real.htm" files are?

they're part of the generated gallery

Hi Crash,

At least now I know. Well, I've been trying to clean house and I've managed
to delete whatever caused my "larger images" to appear on all of my pages.
Thinking of just starting over. Do you know how going from a thumbnail to
the larger image works? The gallery is there, but do I need another copy of
the photo in the root directory; or, should it auto"magically" take me to a
larger copy when it is clicked on?

Thx,
Ellen

It just displays it in a blank browser window...its not a real page.

Just let FP do it's questionable magic to create the gallery and don't mess
with the files it creates.

Hi Crash,
Getting close! I deleted almost everything to start over. Now, when I
create a photogallery, and I look at the split sreen to display the code, the
part of the line that refers to the photogallery is "greyed out". Do you
know what is causing that?
Thx,
Ellen

Crash,
I basically scrapped everything and started over (lots of brain cells have
gone bye bye from when I started this in 2004 and 2007!!) So, I created a
couple of pages with just one image and the back button and all that .. so
far working like a champ. Thanks again for all your technical help (and
moral support!!).
