FP 03 Always Installs New Feature

Each time I open FP 2003, a message pops up saying it is installing a new
feature. It does not say what this feature is. It only takes a few seconds,
and then the program operates normally. This started a week or so ago. Any
idea what is happening, and how to fix it? Can I do a "repair install" of FP
2003?

Sorry, the actual wording is "installing new component."

Reinstall using custom and select to have all run from computer.

Oddly, I tried both "repair" and "reinstall," and both failed about halfway
through with a request to send an error report to Microsoft (but no
information about what the problem was.) I then uninstalled and did a
complete new install. I expecting to have to re-activate the software, but
the newly installed FP 2003 showed up as having been activated. Obviously
some activation tracking file or registry setting was allowed to persist
after the uninstall. The former problem (persistent messages about
"installing new feature" or "new component" with each use of FP) is no
longer present.
