foxpro/access

I have office XP and Visual Basic Express. Is it possible to open a foxpro
database? I do not have foxpro.

Hi. I want to open the data base with access. But now I am not so sure it it
foxpro. The files i have are .cdx and .dbf.Anyway i want to open them with
access. What can i do?

Try File... Get External Data... Link and fiddle with "Files of Type"
- there are a number of versions of FoxPro, I can't tell offhand which
you need.

I seem to recall that you need to have FoxPro installed to obtain the ODBC
driver necessary to connect Access to FoxPro (at least in more recent
versions).

If you mean Visual FoxPro, you will need the ODBC Driver for Visual
FoxPro. You can download that here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads/updates/odbc/default.aspx

You will then want to create a link to the database/tables from within
Access through File, Get External Data...
