When I boot up a box comes up saying that new hardware has been found. When I click on it to go ahead and install, it says to insert the manufacturers disk. I cannot close out the box. All my hardware (printers, scanners, etc.) are working ok. How do I keep this box from coming up, and how do I close it out?

Right click the My Computer icon on your desktop and choose Properties.

Then navigate to the Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button.

One of the items in the "tree" will have a yellow question mark as its icon.
You can find out what general type of hardware its finding here, you can
also disable it or remove it.
