Found it but... Which Folder is my Email in ??

W

- I keep a lot of email for reference and probably have a few thousand...
- I have them organized into many folders and sub folders in Outlook...
- Plus I have many Archived.
- I can often find them using the Outlook Search tools (as long as I know
which folders with sub folders to search)

The Issue:
- Once found... I often need to actually find the folder with the email in
it...
- But since my folders all have sub-folders several levels deep...
- Like... Category - Project - Task - Assignee - etc
- That can be difficult as Outlook only tells me the actual folder name...
- But remembering where that folder is isn't always easy.

My Question:
- Is there a way to find the complete path to an email in Outlook?

Thanks for any help.,

Perhaps depend on your version of OL, and whether you are using the std
search.
Personally I use Coppernic Desktop Search, which is configured to search all
pst's, it gives the full path, and you can open the mail (from within the
search result)
I did try MS DeskTop search, but had problems with performance.

Thanks for the help... some quick follow-up questions...

1 - Is Coppernic Desktop Search free?
2 - I use Google Desktop but it gives you no "location" information as far
as I can tell... true?
3 -What problems did you have with MS Desktop search?
4 - Is MS Desktop search free?

Thanks again

CDS is free
MS DTS gave performance problems throught my sys, when I posted to the
specific MS DTS ng I was informed MS was aware of the problem. Presumably
its fixed now, but I still prefer CDS
I dont use Google DTS
