Forwards and Replies Delete Original Messages

I read the thread about original messages being deleted when sending forwards
or replies. The same happens to me in Outlook 2000. Any help? Thanks

How are you closing the original message after your forward or reply to it?
You're not using the "X" on the toolbar are you?
