Forwarding an exe file attachment

R

Rob

Using Outlook 2002 and have received a file with an exe attachment (WinZip
file made into a self extracting Excel file) but Outlook has blocked this
file, albeit the size of the file, 500kb shows that the file is somewhere.

I've tried to send this to another email address of a friend that uses
Outlook Express but the attachment isn't forwarded.

I can't get the creator of the file to resend - what are my options to
retrieve this file?

Thanks, Rob

Dear,
OL2002 have a default behaviour of blocking various file types including
..exe(dangerous viruses). If you are sure about the file or source, then there
is an add-in software to remove the .exe and other file type blocking
behaviour.
Download free add-in "attachment options"
http://www.slovaktech.com/attachmentoptions.htm
and give the exceptions - details are mentioned in the same site
