Forward Problem.

Hi,

I have a very old DNS (UNIX) server with approximately 25000 records, most
of them are old and incorrect.

I know there should be only 5000 records at the most.

Now I installed a new DDNS (W2003) server.

I created records for all of the servers, printers, devices, aliases etc in
this new DNS server.

All other Workstation (W2K & WXP) would register themselves.

My zone on both servers is "mycompany.com".

The question is: Is there any way to forward any queries not found in this
DNS server to the old one?

The GUI won't let me type "mycompany.com" in the forward tab, saying "zone
already exist!

Any idea? Any other solutions?

Thanks,

Koby Fiada.

How many other records do you need to resolve?
It won't forward them but you could delegate them.
If they are DHCP clients Win2k DHCP can register them for you.
