forum for C# express IDE

When it comes to C# language and framework questions ask in the
microsoft.public.* newsgroups as you are.

When it comes to using an Express IDE you're S.O.L. as Microsoft has not
been doing the best they can do to support these new products -- the
community newsgroups are alleged to be staffed by Microsoft employees but as
you've discovered getting any questions answered in a community newsgroup is
rare. Common sense suggests microsoft.public.express.* does it not?

Microsoft has been doing more and more outsourcing. It has been my
experience that the morons Microsoft hires are usually a bunch of f*ck ups
who can't or won't do anything right. They are sloppy in their work, they
are lazy, and when questioned abouit their incompetence they get a smart
mouth. I have no idea of knowing but if my other experiences with Microsoft
contractors is any indication I would surmise that Microsoft may also be
outsourcing the community newsgroup 'support' which is why it is rare to
learn anything when trying to use the community newsgroups.

Finally, I think it correct to say that Express will not support
productivity features such as the use of XML to generate documentation as
the Express IDEs are intended for entry level neophytes.

Try running "csc /?" at a Whidbey command prompt. The C# compiler can do
both of these things. Sorry, I don't know if they are accessible from the
Express IDE.
