formula to calculate a percentage of a cell

It's 01:50 and it driving me nuts. I need to know what formula I use to
calculate a percentage of a figure.

item price in G7 is 91,000.00 I need to find 10% of this figure and put the
result in G8.

Don't laugh but I have not done formulas before and it's as clear as mud.

Are you talking about MS Access or MS Excel? Your question looks like Excel.

If so, in G8, you enter =G7 * .1
