formula to add a figure to a total if conditions are.....

Hi,
OK, obviously by the subject excel is not my strong point! ;-)
What I would like please is the formula to do the following.

If the total in cell A1 is under 750, add 80 to the figure and total it.

Does that make sense?

put this in B1....
=IF(A1<750,A1+80,A1)

that'll work if you change your b1 to a1: =A1+IF(A1<750,80,0)
