Formula Help

I have a small problem what i want to do is have excell subtract 8 fro
a cell only if the value in that cell is greater than 8 in other word
i don't want any negative numbers to result from the formula s
basicaly

take cell s7 if the value in cell s7 is greater than 8 then i want t
subtract 8 if the value is less than 8 than i want either a 0 o
nothing displayed.

any help is appericated

=MAX(0,S7-8)

or

=IF(S7>=8,S7-8,"")
