Formula Help Overtime

Q

Qui-Gon.Jinn

Please cna you help im trying to work out a formula that will tell me what
my overtime is per person.

In cell A1 for example is there Contracted hours then in the other cells is
the hours they work sunday-Saturday. now in some cells there is the word OFF
(as this is there day off) and Hols in others as this is there (holidays)
the other cells have hours of work as in 9-6 or 11.30-8.30 and so on ,
So what i need is a formula that will work out if there is any overtime for
that person,so if there contracted to work 39 hours and i input all feilds
correctly there will be none but if i put 40hours in it will show 1 hour
over, this means the formula has to ignore any words in the cells but also
should be able to work out that if there is a total of 9 hours that day
its only 8 as they are allowed a lunch
I hope i made myself clear
