Formula for counting number of blank cells in spreadsheet by row

What formula would I use to get the total number of blank cells in a
spreadsheet, row by row? Ex. Column A has rows 3-18 identified by store
numbers. Beginning in Column B, row 2, we are counting every day since
January 1 through the present. They are numbered 1, 2, 3, etc. Some cells
within this timeframe have something in them and others do not. We need to
have a running count of the number of days without complaints for each store.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
