How do I keep "things" from moving around when someone types in an anwer in a
form field?

Insert the form fields in a table. With the cursor in the table, click Table
Autofit > Fixed Column Width. If you also want to prevent vertical

movement, go to Table > Table Properties > Row, click Specify height, and
set an Exact measurement. You can turn off the table's borders or set them
to white if you don't want them to show.
