Forms/Queries

Kathy

Can someone please tell me how to set up a form in FP
(2003) that will display query results from an existing MS
Access database that is connected to the FP site?

Also, I want to be able to create a form on a page that
will allow the user to enter data in the form fields and
have that data submitted to the correct table in the
Access database...any help on these things is most
appreciated!

Thank you.

Use the Database results wizard/database interface wizard

Database Results Wizard under Insert > Database > Results

Database interface wizard under File > New Page or Web > Database Interface
Wizard, then choose "insert in current web" or (if making a new site) choose 'new
web'.

Assuming these instructions are current for FP 2003. (taken from FP 2002
Procedure).

You set up your form, then right click, Form Properties > Send to Database, then
choose the DB or let Frontpage create one for you, will come up "connection
complete" and you're done.

This site is a good tutorial : www.frontpagewiz.com
has an excellent 'how to' on databases using nothing more that the frontpage
wizards for databases.
