Forms Open Slow in Access 2003

I recently converted a couple a .mdb databases from Access 97 to Access 2003
and the same forms that opened instantly in Access 97 now take 23 seconds or
more to open. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this degradation
in performance?

My guess is autocorrect and/or antivirus software problems,
