Forms new record

Hi

I'm sure there is a simple answer to my query (at least I hope so!) but I
have searched with no joy so far. I would appreciate any help.

I have a form on which I enter Dept details and a separate, but linked form
on which I put box contents (for each Dept) one Dept many boxes. I would like
to open the box contents form using a button on the Dept form and add records.

Use a command button and the command button wizard will do that for you
automatically. Have it make you an open form button.

Use your toolbox

Make sure the wizard icon is pressed

Select the command button tool

Follow the steps for creating the button.
