Forms in Word 2003/opening them in 2007

I created a form in Word 2003, when I open it on Word 2007 I can't find out
how to 'unlock' it so I can edit it or change the form fields. can anyone
help because I have lost the will to live!

On the Developer tab, click Protect Document, and then click Restrict
Formatting and Editing. In the task pane, click the Stop Protection button.

Note that if the Developer tab is not visible, you need to display it: Click
the Office button, and then click Word Options. In the Popular category,
click the "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon" option, and click OK.
