I'm trying to make s s/sheet that will calculate commisison payments

One one product line there are 4 levels of commisison:
<24000 = 0
24000 and less than 30000 = 25%
30 and less than 40000 = 50%
over 40000 = 75%

How do I write a formula that calculates that?

TIA

Here are a couple ideas:

1)
With this table in cells A1:B4
0 0%
24,000 25%
30,000 50%
40,000 75%

D1: (a sales value)
The commission is
E1: =D1*VLOOKUP(D1,$A$1:$B$4,2,1)

OR

Skipping the table,
D1: (a sales value)
The commission is
E1: =D1*LOOKUP(D1,{0,24000,30000,40000},{0,0.25,0.5,0.75})

Is that something you can work with?
