Formatting Search Results: FrontPage 2003

Will FrontPage 2003 provide more extensive formating and displaying of
Search Results than FrontPage 2002? For example:

(1)Will FrontPage 2003 facilitate getting the results sent to another web
page, a "results" web page?

(2) Will FrontPage 2003 allow the results to be formatted other than the
display of score, date, and size?

(3) Will FrontPage 2003 permit the display of more than the Document Title?

(4) What additional functionality for dealing with Search Results does
FrontPage 2003 provide?

Thanks, Cecil:

None.

Essentially, the Web Search features in FP2003 are
unchanged from those on FP2002. To get the features you
describe, Microsoft Indexing Service would have to be
available and you'd have to write some ASP or ASP.NET
code to do the search. If you're up to such programming,
I think you'd find it quite liberating.

Ok since neither the current version of FrontPage and the anticipated
version of FrontPage don't provide more robust options for the display of
Search Results, what choices do we have to insert JAVA script into the HTML?
Where can get more options when we're using a UNIX based server. It's my
understanding the ASP or ASP.net solutions are only viable on a Windows
based server; our web hosting is done on Unix.

We still want to use FrontPage 2002 (and later 2003) as the foundation for
our web creation and management of our web site at www.folkart.com

thanks, Cecil:)

You might be able to find a PHP or Perl search script that you can use,
check with your host.
