formatting reports

I have two reports that include memo fields. These contain
reviews of research papers so are of varying lengths. One
of my reports prints out a default size box which is
sometimes nearly empty and sometimes too full and the
other automatically adjusts the size of the box to fit the
amount of text.
I don't know what I've done differently but the automatic
size is brilliant. How do i do it?
I apologise for my niaivity if it is a simple solution but
many thanks anyway.

Open the report in design view.
Right-click the text box for the memo field, and choose Properties.
Set the CanGrow property to allow the text box to grow.

If the property is set but the box does not grow, check if:
- The CanGrow property of the section is on as well. (For example, click the
grey bar that says, "Detail".)

- There is another control overlapping it.

- There is another control beside it (vertical overlap).
