Hi! Everyone

My OS is WinXP_Home, and I am using Office 2000.

When I type in WORD document, the formatting mark
for "space" (i.e. the dots) intrudes into the next
character so that at times I don't even see the "dot" when
it overlaps with the next character.

What is the cause? Is it due to the screen display or
resolution? How to resolve this?

Thanks.

This is caused by poor design of certain fonts. I believe one of the Windows
XP SPs exacerbated the problem (perhaps by installing a new font).

Thanks for the info.

I used "Book Antiqua", which is a common font, and I don't
think it is "poorly designed".

Book Antiqua version 2.35 evidently has this problem (I'm seeing it, too);
many users have complained about this. There is, in any case, nothing that
can be done about it unless Agfa/Monotype chooses to update the font.
