A coworker of mine keeps hitting some strang key
combination that reformats her spreadsheet - and will not
allow her to change formatting back. We change the
formatting but the data in the cell stays the same.
However, the proper fomatting appears in the Formula bar
window. She can copy an paste into a new document and the
proper formatting appears. Any type of formatting we
choose does not appear. Any ideas??

I just had a similar problem and now it's fixed. This is what information I
was given...

To fix your problem

1. Open the spreadsheet you're have problems with

2. Highlight the cells you want to change

3. Go to the Menu bar <Tools/Options/View>

4. Uncheck Formulas.

One guess is the strange key combo hit might have been: CTRL + ~

This key combo toggles the Formula view on / off

Just hit the key combo again to toggle it back to off.

~ is the tilde key, just above Tab key, to the left of "1" key
