Formatting fieldslinked to excel

1) I need to display a currency cell in excel as same in word. The format of
{Mergefield XX \# $#,###.00} works in one word document linked to excel but
not the one I am working on now. They are separate sets of document.

2) In number field, Excel is formatted to round two places but word strings
out to 15 and I want only two displayed in the word document.
