Formatting date & time

I am importing a file from another program and the date
and time displays as follows: 200403111449. How do I
format this date, so that it shows 3/11/04 14:49 - either
in 1 or 2 cells.

try the following formulas
B1:
=DATE(LEFT(A1,4),MID(A1,5,2),MID(A1,7,2))
format as date

C1:
=TIME(MID(A1,9,2),RIGHT(A1,2),0)
format as time
