formatting color of destination cells

Thanks in advance for all the help. I have a calendar
program in Excel that uses mainly vlookup to pick from a
list of data. The reference list is color coded to match
the item with who is responsible for doing that job. But
because the destination cells change based on calendar and
formula functions, I can't get the color of the
destination cells to match the reference cells. Make
sense? Any ideas.

if I understood you correctly you don't have a chance as formulas can't
change colors or other formats
