Formating Second Harddrive?

I'm a bit confused, so hopefully someone can point me in
the right direction.

We have a Win2k system with a 2nd harddrive that has Win98
(we recently merged systems to make one decent one instead
of two mediocre ones). We're trying to format the Win98
drive so we can use it to host the programs then just run
everything through the Win2k portion to hit the second
drive.

The problem is, I can't get it to format. I can delete
files, which is all well and good, but beyond that nothing
I can think of is working.

Any thoughts?

Hello,

Try starting the Disk Management Console in Computer Management and use it
to try to format the volume. If that fails, use Disk Management to attempt
to delete the partition on the disk. You can then re-partition and format.
