formating numbers

i have a huge list of numbers that appear as, for example 12345-1, but would
like to
change them so they appear as 0012345-001. help please

If your value is in cell A1, then in another cell enter:

="00" & LEFT(A1,6) & "00" & RIGHT(A1,1)

and you will have your desired result.
