formating cell with TEXT data type

suppose, we format the cell with TEXT data type, Then does it convert the
text in ASCII character set or keep it as it as non breaking character(160)
which is mostly used in HTML document. It is required for triming the
trailing and leading spaces.

Setting the format to Text will not get rid of character 160 - you can
highlight the cells or columns where you think these may occur and
then do Find & Replace (CTRL-H) and in the Find box hold the ALT key
down while typing 0160 on the numeric keypad. Leave the Replace box
empty and click Replace All.

Hope this helps.
