I recently upgraded my computer runnining 98SE to XP pro.
I didn't format the hard drive before installing, i did
switch to NTFS file system from fat32.
The installation encountered some errors but, completed.
The computer isn't running properly and I would like to
completely reformat the hard drive and install XP pro
again. I'm having trouble figuring out how to format the
hard drive since my file system is NTFS. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave

If you boot from the XP CD, run setup, formatting the HDD is there in
the options. The fact that its NTFS doesn't really matter, formatting
is what creates the file system on the disk so it wipes out whatever was
there before.
