Format-Row-AutoFit doesn't work properly

Hi All

I have a problem with word wrap think and auto fit.

I have about 15 cells in a coliumn where the text is too long for the
column width
I selected these cells and made sure word wrap was checked and they
were all formatted the same. I then chose Format-Row-AutoFit and hit
enter. The first few rows expanded properly, the next few rows
remained the same hight and all I could see is the last word of the
text.
The next few rows were OK.

Does anyone have a clue as to whats going on?
