Format Object behind custom animation

Guest

I have some custom motion paths draw in an slide. I have some objects under
the custom motion path lines that I would like to delete but I can't select
them because of the custom motion path on top of them. Is there any way that
I can select them to either format them or delete them? Thanks!

Select an object, then press the Tab key to go to next object on the slide.
Do this until you get to the one that is hiding behind the motion path.

Hi Scott,
If you right-click on the object that is using the motion path, you
will get a menu. Place your pointer on "Order" and click "Send to Back."
You should be able to see the underlying object that you need to delete.

I hope this helps!

Click on the "x" in the top right corner of the animation task pane to hide
it. The motion paths will not be shown any more and you should be able to
click on that object.

Best regards,
Ute

Hi Scott

As well as the advice you have already received, you can use the 'select
multiple objects' button on the Drawing toolbar. If you can't see it, add it:
tools -> customise -> commands -> categories: drawing -> scroll down list on
right hand side & drag button onto drawing toolbar. In order to tell what
things are in this list, add text to the 'web' tab in the format object
dialogue box.

Scott,
In addition to other suggestion you might want to try out this free tool.
http://skp.mvps.org/sconsole.htm. Shape console will display a miniature
floating window within PowerPoint which will show the current selected
shapes on the slide. This is very handy when you wish to tab through shapes
which are layered below another. You will always know exactly what shape is
selected with this application.
