I can not figure out how to format a 3.5 floppy.

Right click on the drive letter A:
and select 'Format'

 

[John John - MVP]

Right-click on it and select "Format". Or you can do it from a Command
Prompt:

format a:

John

Aw go on, surely you jest.
Make sure the write protect isn't set. (Backside upper left: up = read
only, down = read/write)
Put the floppy disk in the floppy drive.
Open either MyComputer or Explorer.
Right click on the Floppy drive.
Click Format in the popup menu.

Hi Sonny,

Just keep in mind that a lot of computers
don't come with a floppy drive these days.

Will not be too long before DVDs are history
just like 5 1/4 and 8" floppies.

Well the newer 1,000 TB 2" Clear cubes
will not rust -; but finger prints can be a problem.
